Overview

This website, opusmahjong.com, is operated by Opus Mahjong ("we", "us"). By visiting the site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Using the site

By using this site you confirm you are at least the age of majority where you live, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you won't use the site or our products for any unlawful purpose, attempt to interfere with the site's operation, or misuse other people's data.

Products & pricing

Every set is 3D-printed and finished by hand in our studio. Minor variation in color and surface is part of the process, and screen colors may differ slightly from the physical product. We work hard to keep listings accurate, but if a pricing or description error affects your order we may correct it or cancel the affected order with a full refund. Prices are in USD and may change without notice.

Orders & payment

Placing an order is an offer to purchase; we may refuse or cancel an order (for example, suspected fraud or stock issues) — if we do, you'll be refunded in full. Payment is collected at checkout through Shopify's payment providers.

Custom orders

  • Custom design work is billed as a separate design service: $500 per design, reduced to $200 for volume and club orders (10+ sets) (confirmed at quote). The fee is independent of the set price, is not applied toward it, and is refundable only before design work begins — see our Refund Policy.
  • Your approval of the digital proof is your authorization for us to produce the set as shown. Custom sets take about 10 days from design start to dispatch — see our Shipping Policy.
  • Artwork you submit: by sending us a logo, monogram, or artwork, you confirm you own it or have the right to use it, and you grant us a limited license to reproduce it solely to produce your order. You are responsible for any claim that your submitted artwork infringes someone else's rights.
  • We may decline custom requests that infringe intellectual property, are unlawful or hateful, or would compromise gameplay integrity.

Shipping, returns & refunds

Production times, shipping rates, duties, returns, and refunds are governed by our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which are part of these terms.

Intellectual property & trademarks

The site, our product designs, photography, and branding belong to Opus Mahjong and may not be reproduced without permission. Opus Mahjong is an independent studio — we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Mah Jongg League; references to NMJL or American mahjong describe gameplay compatibility only. The NMJL scoring card is not included with our sets.

Product care & intended use

Our tiles are game pieces, not toys for young children, and are not food-contact items. Follow the care guidance on our Care & Cleaning page — in particular, avoid prolonged direct sun, hot cars, and dishwashers. Damage from misuse or improper care isn't covered as a defect.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and products are provided as described; to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated, and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Opus Mahjong against claims arising from your breach of these terms or from artwork you submit for customization.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version is always posted on this page and applies from the moment it's posted. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept them.
